Some Answers to your Questions

Why are Pepastars not made of plastic, like other construction games are?

It is true that plastic constrcution parts would last longer than those made of paper. On the other side you cannot draw onto plastic with your normal pencils and you always would have a bad feeling folding, tearing or cutting your plastic-Pepastars. In our view that´s exactly what makes the original Pepastars so nice: That you can do everything that comes into your mind with them, using your hands or ordinary stationery-tools.
You also can reuse the Pepastars several times when you take a little care with them. As Pepastars aren´t costly (especially not compared to crafting-paper) you don´t have to worry when you modify them as you please.

Why aren´t the pepastars made from stronger paper or thicker cardboard?

We have tested about 200 different kinds of paper and found the ideal weight and strenth to use for the Pepastars. When the paper gets stronger the Pepastars don´t bend nicely and get crippled in an ugly way.
In case you want to build structures with stronger Pepastars, you can double the stability of a Pepastar by placing one part on top of another equal one. You don´t even have to use glue. It will be sufficient to connect two or three hooks and close them.

Are there perhaps bigger/ waterresistant/ transparent/ metallic Pepastars?

In fact, we are thinking about special editions of Pepastars in the future. For now there is plenty to do for us handling the ten basic colours of the Pepastars. In case the original Pepastars gather enough friends, we would love to offer you special edition sets of Pepastar.

Is it harmful to swallow the Pepastars?

No, Pepastars are made from paper which is certified for contact with food and the colour pigments are non-synthetic. Further the logo is embossed and are not printed. Still, Pepastars are not intended nor recommended for consumption, just as every other toy or crafting material.

I don´t seem to manage to build a MiniSet-model correctly. What shall I do?

The Pepastar MiniSets have different levels of difficulty. The deer ist the most advanced model to build, comparable with a puzzlegame.

If you still have got all the parts, try to build the model using the instructions online, which explain every step more detailed:

Generally, the printed MiniSet-Instructions work well when you take a close look at how the connections are closed (hidden or visible) and in which direction the hooks of each Pepastar point.

How can I colour my model when I already have built it?

To draw on a readily bulit model with colour pencils is more difficult than with crayons, markers or ink. You also can try out other techniques like for expample airbrushing with paint using an old toothbrush or simply painting with tempera using a brush.
Have a look on the "tips and tricks"- pages for some painting experiments.
