The fun-loving Deer PDF

By the way: the deer is our Pepastar mascot.

If you carefully follow this instruction you will win a new little friend eager to discover the big world of yours.

Watch closely in which direction the hooks of each Pepastar are facing! Also give care on how the linkages are put together (either a hidden or a visible linkage) and compare your model always with the example photos.

Off we go!

Take a 3-sided Pepastar and bend over one flap as shown. Then fold the part with two hooks along the pointed line. Place the 3-sided Pepastar on top of a 4-sided one, so that the hooks of both Pepastars are aligned and point in the same direction.

Now, add another 4-sided Pepastar. Hook it together with the double-layered hooks as shown in the example. Do first one linkage and close at least one of the flaps to secure the connection for the meanwhile. It is then easier to put together also the other connections when you go three-dimensional.

On all sides of our object the connections should look like on the example photo above, as they should all be hidden linkages. If you have done right your piece is round and bulgy as it is already the body of the deer.

Now it is time to add the neck which is the 3-sided pepastar being inserted on the opposite side of the little round tail peeping out of the upper backside of the body. Now you should build for legs from each one 3-sided Pepastar. Just put together two hooks, and try to do a hidden linkage even if it is more difficult than a visible one. Then hook one leg into the still open linkage which you can close as soon as the leg is inserted.

Our four-legged friend now begins to take shape as you connect the second hook of the neck with the body and join the three remaing legs to our deer.

Now we are about to give him a head. Take a 4-sided Pepastar and connect two hooks into a hidden linkage which you close by bending over at least one flap. Fold the two other hooks into a visible linkage which remains open. Now connect the head with the neck.

Take two 3-sided Pepastars - they will be the antlers - and hook them into the back of the deers head just as shown on the photographs and finally close the connections. Oh, and you can fold the little round tail upwards if you like.

Perhaps you´d like rather to prefer to have a roe instead of a deer? In this case you can use scissors to cut the antlers to a more feminine length.

Perhaps a little colour would fit the deer, too?

So: Have fun, you two!
